Who's supporting the Diploma?

Employers, universities and colleges were involved in creating the Diploma so that students would gain the skills, knowledge and experience needed for college, university and work

Employers are very enthusiastic about the Diploma in Hospitality and are passionate about creating opportunities, attracting the best young people to the industry, where their skills and attitudes are highly valued.

Some of the larger employers who have supported the Diploma in Hospitality in very practical ways are:

  • Hyatt Regency London - The Churchill
  • Claridge's
  • Compass
  • Outback

SMEs around the country have also contributed to the Diploma programme. Universities and colleges are behind the Diploma too, its content having been influenced by experts from Manchester Metropolitan University and Westminster Kingsway College - to name but two establishments that have an excellent reputation in the industry.

What makes a material difference with what had gone on before is that academics and employers have worked on the Diploma content together to develop a qualification that is right for employers, right for further and higher education and, most importantly, right for the young people who are the future of this industry and of the economy as a whole.

The result is a Diploma which offers a rich learning experience, reflects the current and anticipated needs of the industry and creates fantastic opportunities for young people who genuinely want to achieve, whether in hospitality of elsewhere.
