To provide an environment which gives employers within the hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism sector the right number of people with the right skills and qualifications at the right time – thereby improving the profitability, retention and appeal of this dynamic sector delivering world class productivity and customer service through its skilled people.
How is People 1st delivering this?
By understanding the future needs of our employers and working with government and educators to deliver demand led learning provision for the sector.
People 1st represents the 14 industries listed below, which together generate turnover of over £135 billion a year. They employ approximately 1.9 million people in more than 180,000 establishments.
Our aim is to engage with as many employers and employees in each industry as possible, making the case for skills and productivity.
From the largest players to the smallest owner managers, we want everyone to get the message that investing in skills and productivity is good for their businesses, their employees and the wider economy as a whole.
